The kids in our house get four quarters per tooth. They place the tooth in the front pocket and then they receive their tooth fairy money in that pocket. One of my favorite things about these pillows is that the girls hang them on the side of their beds, so the tooth fairy doesn’t have to reach under their pillow to retrieve their tooth. And the nice thing about the combination sewing and embroidery machines is that you can have them pretty much just set up as a sewing machine and attach the embroidery unit when you want to embroider or you can leave it on……totally up to you!Īnyway, back to these sweet little pillows. And I think she does………she’s used the embroidery quite a bit. I remember when Mom was shopping for a new machine, she kept saying ‘I don’t know if I would use the embroidery, maybe I should just get a sewing only machine.’ I told her that she would probably enjoy the embroidery once she gave it a try. The Unity does a beautiful job on machine embroidery. As I’ve mentioned before, she and I have the same sewing machine ( Baby Lock Unity) which is a sewing and embroidery machine. The Tooth Fairy pillow is an ‘in the hoop’ design so there isn’t additional sewing that has to be done on the front of the pillow. Mom purchased the machine embroidery files to create the front of the pillows from ( girl pattern and boy pattern).

Mom said she’s planning on making a boy version of the Tooth Fairy Pillow for Caspian soon since it won’t be long before he loses his first tooth! They have had quite a few visits from the Tooth Fairy. I think, as of now, Savannah has lost 8 teeth and Matilda has lost 6. We just absolutely love how they turned out. I wanted to share these darling Tooth Fairy Pillows that my mom ( Grandma Jane) created for Savannah and Matilda.
